No matter where in the world you move, Girl Scouting will continue to play an important role in your daughter’s journey to greatness. Help her continue to reach for the stars by renewing her Girl Scout membership this Early Bird season from April 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026.

By renewing during the Early Bird season, you’re securing another year of growth, friendship and exciting Girl Scout adventures! Plus, enjoy exclusive incentives like the USAGSO Early Bird patch. Follow USAGSO on social media and check your e-mail in early April to learn more.

A girl membership for the 2026-2027 Membership Year costs a total of $95, which includes a $65 GSUSA membership due and a $30 USAGSO Council Service Fee (CSF). An adult membership is $30.

Also, if you renew with USAGSO and find out you are moving, we will be happy to transfer your membership to a stateside council or another overseas community.

When is Early Bird registration available? toggle arrow

The registration period for Early Bird starts on April 1, 2026 and ends June 30, 2026. To qualify for the Early Bird incentives, members must have fully completed the registration process by April 30.

If you encounter issues completing your registration, contact us and we can assist you in making the deadline.

What about NEW members? toggle arrow

The Extended Year Membership is an option for NEW members and allows you to join at a prorated price of $133 for girls and $42 for adults.

This price includes membership for the current membership year and the next membership year (Summer 2026- September 30, 2027). This option gives families a one-time incentive to start Girl Scouts in the spring, participate in summer activities like mini-camps and then continue participation into the fall with a troop experience.

The Extended Year Membership is available for purchase for new Girl Scouts and families from April 1, 2026 through July 31, 2026. Extended Year memberships receive Early Bird incentives like the USAGSO Early Bird patch.

This option is not available for renewing members as your current membership already covers participation in the summer.

I’m a troop leader, how do I renew my troop in MyGS? toggle arrow

To renew your troop: Login to MyGS and click the green "renew now” button on the top right corner of the screen. This will move all the youth members in your troop to the cart. You can then deselect anyone who is not renewing before you checkout.

How do I renew all of the girls and volunteers in my community at once? toggle arrow

Easy! Complete this spreadsheet and send it to overseascustomercare@girlscouts.org. We’ll send you an invoice and then process the memberships once the invoice is paid.

Bulk renewals are eligible for Early Bird incentives* if turned in and paid before the incentives deadline. Please ensure your spreadsheet is correct before submitting to Customer Care as memberships are not refundable or transferrable.

My Girl Scout is a Juliette. Can she still participate? toggle arrow

Yes! Early Bird is for any current member. Juliettes who renew by April 30, 2026 will receive an Early Bird patch mailed directly to them.

What if we’re moving this summer? toggle arrow

USA Girl Scouts Overseas provides a sense of security and stability as families transition to new locations, giving girls an immediate support network and friend group with whom they have something in common. Show your daughter that you believe in the power of Girl Scouts by continuing her journey into next year.

If you are transitioning back to the United States, USAGSO can easily transfer your membership to a stateside council. If you are moving to another overseas community, USAGSO can also easily transfer your membership.

My Girl Scout is graduating, and I’d like to purchase a Lifetime Membership for her. Do Lifetime Memberships qualify for the Early Bird incentives? toggle arrow

Yes, Lifetime Membership qualifies for Early Bird incentives if purchased before June 30, 2026.

My Girl Scout's new troop does not appear in the opportunity catalog. Can she still participate in Early Bird? toggle arrow

Girls are members of their 2026-2027 Membership Year Girl Scout troop until 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Saving time) on September 30, 2026. Because they have paid for a full membership year, the system will not remove them from that troop until the year has ended.

We understand that sometimes troops start to form and begin meeting before September 30. The troop leader can always add girls to their troop, via their MyGS account, even if the troop is full.

Did membership fees increase? toggle arrow

Yes. On October 19, 2024, Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) and our National Board held a special National Council Session, where girl and adult delegates representing councils across the country discussed and voted on proposals regarding Girl Scouts' national membership dues.

The National Council approved increasing national membership dues to $65 for girls, phased in at $45 for Membership Year 2025-2026 and $65 for Membership Year 2026-2027. USAGSO also has a $30 council service fee added to girl memberships only. They also approved dues of $30 for adults, effective Membership Year 2025-2026.
