Volunteer Community Spotlight

Paris Community
Serving girls in Paris, France

About the Community
The Paris Girl Scout community serves girls and families living in Paris, France, many of whom are part of military, embassy, Department of Defense and globally mobile families. With frequent relocations and changing schools and cultures, Girl Scouts offers girls something steady - a place to build friendships, develop leadership skills and feel a sense of belonging.

Through troop meetings, community events, service projects and outdoor adventures, this volunteer-led community helps ensure girls in their region experience the very best of Girl Scouting.

Example of contents they included:

  • Regional treats or speciality foods
  • Locally made crafts or artisan goods
  • Cultural items from their region
  • Experiences unique to their part of the world

Their creativity and generosity helped bring the spirit of their community to supporters around the globe.
