Volunteer Community Spotlight

Paris Community
Serving girls in Paris, France

About the Community
The Paris Girl Scout community serves girls and families living in Paris, France, many of whom are part of military, embassy, Department of Defense and globally mobile families. With frequent relocations and changing schools and cultures, Girl Scouts offers girls something steady - a place to build friendships, develop leadership skills and feel a sense of belonging.

Through troop meetings, community events, service projects and outdoor adventures, this volunteer-led community helps ensure girls in their region experience the very best of Girl Scouting.

Meet the Community Committee
Behind every thriving USAGSO community is a dedicated group of volunteers who work throughout the year to keep Girl Scouting accessible and meaningful for local families.

The Paris Volunteer Community Committee helps coordinate programming, support troop leaders, welcome new families and build a strong network for girls in their region.

Together, they create opportunities for girls to learn, grow, explore and lead.

Silent Auction Contribution
One of the many ways the Paris Community supported USAGSO’s mission this year was through its participation in the Powered by Connection Silent Auction.

Their featured auction experience showcased the culture, artistry and culinary traditions that make Paris so special. The centerpiece of the package was an exclusive Le Cordon Bleu Macaron Workshop for Two, offering participants the opportunity to learn the art of creating classic French macarons at the world-renowned Le Cordon Bleu Paris.

Hosted in the stunning Hôtel de la Marine, overlooking the historic Place de la Concorde, this hands-on experience provides rare access to a professional culinary classroom led by Le Cordon Bleu chefs. The package also included two copies of the Le Cordon Bleu Confectionery Recipe Book, allowing participants to recreate and enjoy their Parisian experience long after returning home.

Through this unique contribution, the Paris Community shared a taste of French culture while helping raise critical support for Girl Scouts Overseas. Their creativity, generosity and commitment to connection helped bring the spirit of Paris to supporters around the world.
