USA Girl Scouts Overseas (USAGSO) is excited to announce a new partnership with Brown Dog Gadgets to bring hands-on STEM education to girls around the globe. Through this partnership, Brown Dog Gadgets will provide educational kits for Girl Scouts participating in the STEMinist program. The USAGSO STEMinist programs feature hands-on, enriching and age-appropriate STEM activities, each led by an Everyday Superhero—a woman working in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM).
This collaboration aligns with USAGSO’s mission to provide enriching educational experiences to Girl Scouts Overseas, ensuring that they have access to the same opportunities as girls in the United States. The STEMinist program offers a unique chance for girls to develop technical skills, build confidence and experience STEM through shared STEM challenges.
“Partnering with USAGSO allows us to bring our STEM tools to girls in international communities, making sure that no matter where they live, they have access to fun, hands-on learning experiences,” said Amanda Etim, Education Outreach Coordinator of Brown Dog Gadgets and Girl Scout troop leader. “We are thrilled to see the creativity and excitement the Girl Scouts bring to their STEM building projects.”
Taryn Rimland, USAGSO’s Program and Adult Development Manager, is excited about this new partnership, saying, “In so many instances, our Girl Scouts overseas don’t have access to the same STEM experiences their stateside counterparts have. This new partnership with Brown Dog Gadgets is a game changer, putting STEM tools in our Girl Scouts Overseas’ hands- no matter where in the world they’re located!”
