STEMinist Energy Patch Design Contest

Are you an artist, designer or illustrator? USA Girl Scouts Overseas wants you to submit your work for our STEMinist Energy Patch design contest! This contest is a great way for USAGSO Girl Scouts to share their artistic talents.
The STEMinist patch series continues to grow with robotics, automotive, LEGO © and next up, this Energy patch. Below are the contest details and patch requirements. Be sure to download the full patch design packet for all the important details and templates too! We can’t wait to see your designs!
Contest Details:
- Any registered girl member of USAGSO can submit her design.
- The contest will run from May 1-31, 2026.
- Girls can submit more than one design.
- Designs must be the original work of the girl.
- Submission form must include the Girl Scout’s name, program grade level, troop number and Overseas Committee.
- The design must include the phrase “Energy Superhero”.
- Patch designs are encouraged to reflect the theme of energy (for example, think about how we use energy in Girl Scouts - from campfires to selling cookies to our meetings.)
- Be creative and have fun!
How to submit your artwork:
- Draw your design within a circle, square, triangle, rectangle etc. - making sure to include the words listed above. We’ve created this template to make this easier, so you can just print and design away!
- Submit your design using this form by May 31.
The winning design will be selected by a committee of USAGSO staff and volunteers and will be announced on USAGSO’s social media platforms in July 2026. The Girl Scout with the winning design will receive a special STEMinist prize!
