The USAGSO microgrant program provides financial support for local volunteer development, girl programming, and recruitment activities. USAGSO microgrants range from $50 to $2,000 and will fund activities taking place August 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025. Applications close on January 31, 2025, or once all microgrant funds have been awarded (whichever comes first). Funding is limited and will be awarded first come first served, so we encourage you to apply today! Through these microgrants, USAGSO strives to increase the quality and accessibility of the Girl Scout program overseas.
Who can apply? Registered Overseas Committee Management Team (OCMT) members, troop leaders (with OCMT approval if in an established Overseas Committee), and Girls Scouts completing a Gold Award project are eligible to apply. Volunteers requesting microgrant funds must have completed all required trainings and background checks for their role. Volunteers who apply but have not met their required trainings and background checks will not be awarded funds. In addition, requests for community wide funding (for example, to support a community wide camporee) will only be granted to communities that have successfully completed their previous year end of year financials.
What can I request funds for? Funds can be used to support volunteer development, girl programming, and recruitment activities. In addition, for the 2025 Grant cycle, USAGSO has additional grant funds earmarked to support Older Girl Scout Travel (Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassador troops/groups). See below for more details.
