Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
How? Through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience—a variety of fun and challenging activities, like earning badges, selling cookies, going on exciting trips, exploring the outdoors, and doing community service projects. At Girl Scouts, you’ll get to lead your own adventure (it’s your world!), and work with other girls to pick and choose the exciting, hands-on activities you want to do. The idea is to learn by doing, and at Girl Scouts, you’ll do lots of it.
You’ll also grow more confident. Because the more new things you try, the more likely you are to discover what you’re really good at and use it to help yourself and others.
You’ll learn how to be kind, honest, responsible, and caring, and you’ll practice the kind of open communication that leads to healthy relationships. When we all get along, there is no limit to what we can accomplish!
The experiences you’ll have in Girl Scouts will allow you try things you may not be good at. Here, we know that failure is inevitable and a necessary step to success. At Girl Scouts, activities aren’t about winning; they’re about learning.
We believe, without a doubt, that every girl has the power to change the world. At Girl Scouts you’ll learn to identify problems in your community (and around the world!) and create action plans to solve them.
More than you ever imagined. They earn badges that will teach them about the different mediums an artist can work with, or how to advocate for changes to make their community better. They go on outdoor adventures, learn to sail, and give rock climbing a go. They form friendships that last a lifetime. And they do all this while making the world a brighter place.
It’s a big world, and what is a better way to experience it than on aglobal scale?
