Join Girl Scouts from all over USAGSO as we explore the Castles at Camp Lachenwald! This year we will be staying at the Oberreifenberg Youth Hostel in Schmitten, Germany located to the north of Weisbaden. Just 40 kilometers from the Frankfurt airport, our camp is tucked amongst castle ruins just steps from the Reifenberger Wiesen nature preserve. Campers will explore nature, castles, and history while making lifelong friendships and Girl Scout memories.
When: July 29 to Aug 3, 2018
Program Fee: $550 per camper & $500 per military-affiliated camper (the $50 military discount is provided through generous support from the Department of Defense).
All families are welcome to apply for a USAGSO Campership. USAGSO Camperships range from $50 to $250. They are awarded on first come, first serve basis, while funds last.
Program fee includes: accommodations, meals, on site activities, all trips, camp t-shirt and Camp Lachenwald patch.
Participant Ages: All registered Girl Scouts are welcome! However, Daisies need to be accompanied by a guardian.
New this year: Surrounded by forest, this youth camp is a short walk from the ruins of Königstein Castle and a public pool. This camp also has a rope course in property! Campers will sleep dormitory style—each dorm sleeps four to eight girls in bunk beds.
JH Oberreifenberg is located in Schmitten, Germany. A half an hour car ride north of the Frankfurt Airport and 45 minutes north east of Wiesbaden.
